Owner & Project Lead
Laura Barton M.S., FMP
Laura is the creator and owner of RFS, a WBE. With a Construction Engineering & Management (CEM) degree from Purdue, and Masters degree in Strategic Leadership & Organizational Design from UIndy, she is well able to discern, break down, & translate the work site to the Owner and the Owner's needs to the Project team. A questioner & problem-solver by nature, Laura can swiftly pinpoint root issues to bring about clarity in their resolution.
What began as a career specific to construction project management building hospitals, municipal buildings, schools, parking garages, and residential projects on the West Coast, was easily parlayed to a career in Facilities and Asset management back home again in Indiana. Pulling from experience in both worlds, she operates uniquely well where these fields merge. She has a passion for making facilities work for the user, rather than users be demoralized by working under an inefficient facility. By doing this, she finds joy in positively impacting the daily lives of those who manage and utilize the facilities in her care.
